Our Waitlist

Waitlist Process

We understand that families have questions about the waitlist for services. BidWell Behavior is working to hire qualified professionals, however many states, including California, have a shortage of certified and licensed behavior technicians and analysts. Additionally, client need can be a factor that can contribute to the waitlist for services. Due to these and other factors we cannot give a specific timeframe on availability of services.

To ensure the best chance to get a timely assessment we must have our waitlist application form filled out, a physicians referral for ABA Services, and diagnostic information before we can begin an assessment. At this time we will NOT be contacting families to notify them of their status until we are ready to schedule an intake interview.

As always, please feel free to contact us at admin@bidwellbehavior.com with questions or if you need assistance throughout the process.

1 - Waitlist Application Form

Submit a Waitlist Application Form to initiate the waitlist process. This form provides us with important information about the service recipient, their availability, and other preferences to prepare for services.

2 - Referral for Services

Contact your physician and ask for a referral (or prescription) for ABA Services to describe the medical necessity for our services. They can fax this over to us at (530) 965-5990. Insurance requires this information to ensure there is a genuine medical need for services.

3 - Diagnostic Information

This is typically a large document that shows the individual was assessed by a professional and was given a particular diagnosis. It should be an assessment completed by an M.D. level physician such as a Licensed Psychologist, Doctor, or specialist. For those diagnosed with autism this will likely be the ADOS. Look for key words such as MIND Institute, ADOS, or Evaluation at the top of the page. If you do not have this document in your records the Regional Center Service Coordinator typically has this in their records. This document can be sent via secure email to admin@bidwellbehavior.com or faxed to (530) 965-5990.

Once those have been received…

BidWell Behavior staff will review the information submitted (waitlist application form, referral, diagnostic review), as well as any additional information provided during your time on the waitlist, to determine eligibility for services. This may also include a phone call or meeting with our staff to gain additional information regarding service area, scope of practice, staff and client availability, and projected length of treatment. Eligibility and treatment initiation are at the sole discretion of BidWell Behavior staff. Once we have confirmed your availability and interest in the service we will reach out to your insurance company or funding source and request a behavior assessment.
